We build empathetic mentors for children in street situations

Empower children, influence policy, and build your career in social change.

Our year-long fellowship places young leaders in India’s most vulnerable railway communities, working with street-connected children, becoming a launchpad to:

  • Collaborate directly with government bodies and child protection institutions

  • Lead community-based or social innovation projects for marginalized children and families

  • Shape child rights and protection policies through research and advocacy

  • Build a lifelong career in India’s social development and public systems

Meet our co-founder Sagar Sisodia and discover why they started Bharat RailVidya Fellowship.

WHERE WILL YOU WORK

You will be placed as a Fellow in India’s railway-connected communities, working directly with street-connected children and their families living around railway tracks.

You will be located in one of our project cities: Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), Kanpur, Delhi-NCR, Aligarh, Tundla, and Mirzapur.

You will work closely with 20–40 children in small learning groups — building trust, conducting educational and life-skill sessions, and creating safe spaces for learning and growth.

You will collaborate with parents, community leaders, railway staff, and local government bodies to ensure each child’s safety, education, and reintegration into mainstream systems.
