COVID Mentorship

Do you want to address and solve issues of street children in this Pandemic? Does mentoring children excite you? If yes, then COVID Mentorship is the right call for you.

COVID Mentorship is a learning opportunity for youth to save the lives of street-connected children from COVID-19. The program began as an emergency response in June 2020, and is a sustainable and long-term approach towards addressing issues of the children living in street situations in the pandemic. 

Anchored by Rag Dreams Weavers Association with support of Consortium for Street Children and Peace First, COVID Mentorship intends to advocate Rights of Street Children during the pandemic.

The program is looking for youth to join for a 6 months onsite program, with the possibility of a 2 months extension (8 months total). The program is a stipend based program and is designed to keep all safety precautionary measures in place

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategize, Plan & Execute interventions to build awareness of street-connected children about COVID.

  • Build capacity of street-connected children to become “Child COVID Warriors”.

  • Mentor children to save their localities from the Pandemic.

  • Make DATA driven problem-solving decisions.

  • Address and Advocate issues of street-connected children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

ELIGIBILITY
  • Must be a college student or a graduate at minimum.

  • Must have prior experience of working with children.

  • Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week. (4-5 days a week).

  • Ability to empathize

  • Availability at the said location (chapters)

  • Must get their 1st COVID Vaccination before joining.
